Face data Clarifit collects

Clarifit processes one JPEG front selfie and one JPEG side-profile selfie that you take or select. From those photos, Clarifit collects a structured appearance-coaching result that may include six face-analysis metrics, scores, confidence levels, visible evidence, improvement suggestions, ranked priorities, standout positives, photo-usability notes, retake advice, and cautions. The structured result is linked to your Clarifit account or anonymous Clarifit session so you can view your scan history.

Clarifit does not collect Face ID data, faceprints, facial-recognition identifiers, depth maps, or face-mesh geometry. Clarifit does not use the photos to identify or authenticate you, infer your identity, or compare you with another person.

How face photos are collected and used

You provide face photos by using the in-app camera or Apple photo picker. Selected photos stay on your device until you choose “Share & Analyze” on Clarifit's face-photo sharing screen. Before that choice, the app identifies the photos being sent, Google Gemini as the recipient, and the purpose of the transfer. If you cancel, the photos are not transmitted.

After you give permission, Clarifit uses each photo once as input for the AI analysis you requested. The photos are used only to generate grooming and appearance coaching, evaluate whether the photos are usable, and return the result. Clarifit does not use face photos or face-analysis results for advertising, marketing, tracking, facial recognition, medical diagnosis, or sale. The results are appearance-coaching records, not medical records or attractiveness ratings.

Google Gemini processing

After you choose “Share & Analyze,” Clarifit transmits the two selected photos to Google through the paid Gemini API. Google processes the photos to return the AI response requested by Clarifit. Clarifit does not share the photos with any other third-party AI service.

Under Google's terms for paid Gemini API services, submitted prompts, files, and responses are not used to improve Google's products. Google may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 55 days solely for abuse monitoring, safety, security, and required legal or regulatory disclosures. Clarifit requires service providers that handle personal data to provide the same or equal protection stated in this policy and required by applicable privacy rules.

Face-data storage, retention, and deletion

Clarifit does not store submitted face images. Each image is sent once as input for the requested analysis and is held only temporarily while that request is processed. Clarifit removes the image from temporary processing memory when the request finishes. As described above, Google may retain Gemini API inputs and outputs for up to 55 days for its limited abuse-monitoring, safety, security, and legal-compliance purposes.

Clarifit retains the structured analysis result in your scan history until you delete your account. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account actions → Delete account. Account deletion removes your profile and structured scan results from Clarifit. You can also request deletion or ask a privacy question by emailing [email protected].

Your face-data choices and consent

Permission is requested before every face-photo transfer. You may cancel the sharing screen and continue using portions of the app that do not require a new analysis; canceling sends no photo. Declining one request does not prevent you from choosing to share photos later. You can withdraw permission for future processing by declining future sharing requests. Because each analysis is performed immediately after your permission, a completed analysis cannot be undone, but deleting your account removes the retained structured result as described above.

Other data Clarifit collects

Clarifit also collects the account details needed to sign you in, onboarding answers you provide, analysis-access status, and scan records. If you use email sign-in, Clarifit stores a password hash, not your plain password. If you use Apple or Google sign-in, Clarifit receives the account identifiers and profile details needed to create or access your Clarifit account.

Other service providers

Clarifit uses Apple in-app purchase, RevenueCat, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and Google Gemini to provide purchases, account access, AI processing, support, and scan history. Apple manages payment details; Clarifit and RevenueCat receive the entitlement status needed to unlock analysis. Purchase and sign-in providers do not receive face photos from Clarifit. Face photos are shared only with Google Gemini as described above.
